It’s not enough that I want to write a novel.  It’s not enough that I want to write a novel  worth reading.  It’s not even enough that I want to write a novel that strangers trade me their hard-earned money to read.  I want to write a story no one’s told in quite the same way as I’m telling it.  Romance writer Nora Roberts once said there are only 88 keys on a piano but that doesn’t stop people from composing millions of songs all over the world.  So what can we do with only 26 letters in the English alphabet?  What CAN’T we do?
